How do I clean up after my dog?
You will find pooper-scoopers, mutt mitts and trashcans everywhere! You are expected to pick up after your dog at all times. If you are out on a trail or a road please move all feces off the shoulder as far as possible or pick it up and throw it away with a mutt mitt. Please do not let your dogs urinate on any man-made object. Each owner is responsible for cleaning up after his or her dog.
Who cleans up the camp during Camp N Pack and after the weekend?
This weekend is put together and run by the volunteers of Alaskan Malamute Rescue of New England, Inc. We also attend the weekend to have a great time with our dogs. The philosophy of the weekend is: if you see something that needs to be done, help out! When you check in you will be asked to sign up for a chore. You will also be asked to help in the kitchen for at least one of the meals. We would like everyone to sign up for a job or two during the weekend! This helps build on the experience of the weekend and lets us keep the prices down. We expect all our campers to pitch in during the weekend so that everyone has a good time and the work does not fall to only a few people.
All participants are expected to clean their shelter and washstand before leaving as well as help clean a public area of the camp.
Thank you ahead of time for your help!
